when I was a young man, my wife and I boated and one day while shopping I was looking at swimwear/speedos. my wife came over and just told me, "you're too big" to wear anything that tight. she picked out some baggy ones. which meant all the girls were looking when you stepped out of the water and your wet trunks just hung off your junk. so you gave a brief show instead of a full time show. speedos are fine if you have the body, which I did at the time. but if you don't, you look foolish
i don't know about that board shorts are just as reviling as speedos
